Angie Bass is the point person for Non-Exempt Staff for the following campus units: Facilities Management, Residential Facilities, and Dining Services. She is in the process of developing a set of customized programs for non-exempt staff, including Words of Engagement: Intergroup Dialogue Program, Orientation Program, Sexual Harassment Prevention Program, Conflict Resolution and Mediation Program, Hate/Bias Crime Incidents Program, and Education/Certification program. She is responsible for seeking information to help increase knowledge by locating the Education Opportunities available on campus.

Bass involves herself with campus issues as they apply to non-exempt employees, and keeps them connected and informed of programs affecting them. Bass has been at the University for over 30 years, and brings her years of expertise and understanding of campus to her job. Further, she reaches out to the community and is proactive in seeking to create an inclusive atmosphere on campus. She says the best part of her job is to greet clients and interact with many people. With dedication and hard work she hopes to make a change in the campus climate for non-exempt staff. She has been instrumental in gaining flex-time for non-exempt employees to attend OHRP programs.

OHRP has motivated her to help the University community to improve the campus atmosphere not with programming aspects but with song. She has motivated faculty, staff, and students with singing at several university programs and is a professional singer who loves to sing gospel, rhythm, and blues. Bass is currently attending University College, University of Maryland.
