Roger Candelaria attended Colorado State University, taught Science and American Government in the New Mexico public schools and later earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver. He practiced civil and criminal law and served as judge in three different jurisdictions before being appointed Director of Employee Relations at the University of Northern Colorado. His interests include Latin America and public policy and he enjoys Afro-Cuban and other international music.
